Okay so here is the latest on how to get a girlfriend or not in this case:) First off, for those of you that are internet marketers trying to sell a product and putting a link on my site, that is fine I get it but add something. Don’t just put your keyword with the anchor text and your website without adding a comment. That is not commenting that is spamming. We all want to be ranked number one in google so I get it but leave a comment about something you read not just a link because I will delete it.
So I decided along with my column about how to get women I am also going to post about my love life. So recently one of my good friends just got back to the US. He happens to be gay so we went to a gay bar to do Karaoke. I went outside to smoke a cigarette and I saw this cute girl checking me out as I walked through the crowd. Just as I am about to go in she comes outside. I introduce myself and ask her if she is straight. She replies in a kinda surprised tone “Jane.” I say we’ll Jane I am going to dedicate a song to you. I go in and when my turn arrives I sing “hey there Delilah” from the Plain White Tee’s. Instead of saying Delilah I say Jane. I grab her hand and to it was pretty romantic and I felt like I was the shit. Now in hind sight I should have just sang the first verse to her and then let her go and sing to the crowd for not only did I get a lot of shit from the Straight Bashers but I also would have had a lot more intrigue from the girl.
Anyway so we hang out a bit after word and are dancing and I grab her hand and I persuade her to do a Mosh pit with me. No one else was into it but we were and we were having a moment it was cool. I said to her “hey Jane give me your number, we will go on a date this week.” By the way that line is gem and until this woman had a 100% success rate. So she gives me her number and then I leave.
I text her that night that it was great meeting her and that I hope she is as pretty and fun as my drunk ass remembers.
I get no text back. So the next day Wed I ask her if she likes bowling.
She responds YES.
I proceed to tell her that we will go bowling on our date when are you free.
She says Sunday.
Sunday doesn’t work for me how bout next week
Going home for Easter get back that Monday
I text her on Easter wishing her a happy Easter and that I am very excited to go on our date and I will call you on Monday.
She responds Happy Easter XOXO
On Monday I was working all day and kinda tired but called her at night like I said I would. I tried to wait till she probably flew back from the East coast but not too late. Her phone goes straight to voicemail so I leave a message. I must say in hindsight I think it was a VERY boring message cause I was thinking of other things.
Tuesday no call no text. NOW generally I WOULD NOT contact her again for probably 2 days after that Monday so Wednesday then I would send a text checking in something like “hey whats up girl?” and leave it at that and try to start over again with a date. Because I am writing this column I figured I would try something new so that I could tell you guys what works and what doesn’t. So I text her “hey just wondering if Wed or Thurs work for you. Half the day goes by still don’t hear anything so in the evening I text “what r u busy or somethingJ lol Just wondering if wed or thurs was good for you.” AGAIN I must stress this was not smart and I knew it before I did it. DON’T do this. This is so you can see what doesn’t work.
NOW I must stress this was an experiment that went badly! DO NOT EVER CONTACT SOMEONE that often or that frequently if you want a chance at a date! You will probably get the same results.
The thing to get out of this is just because you are bored or whatever DO NOT CONTACT that person without them contacting you back! If you don’t hear back from them in 2 or 3 days you can send a text but make it brief and just like a checking in. AND you kinda have to start over so something like “Whats up girl?” would be fine if she doesn’t respond move on. If you really like her you can try again in a week with something similar but it is not looking good. People get busy so there is a slight chance but there are tons of girls out there who will like you, no need to waste your time on ones that have other shit going on or aren’t that into you. Remember you can’t win them all!
