Dating Advice Please…adults Only?
I’m a 25 year old single female (been single for almost a year and a half, out of a LTR). I have never approached a guy I find attractive. How do I talk to men? Please help. I’m used to men approaching me, but I know I might have better chances of meeting someone if I can just talk to them…

Just be yourself and you will be fine. As a guy, I have to tell you that I love it when a woman approaches me. I am always afraid of rejection when I approach a woman. However, if they come up to me, I don’t have to worry about impressing them as much because obviously something attracted them to me to come over so it takes a lot of pressure off of me. I always like the “do you want to get a cup of coffee or a drink sometime” must better than a full dinner date because it much more casual and relaxed and I think you get a better feel for the person.

You could just casually walk up to such a guy, and ask if he has a gf. Or you could deliberately bump into him, making it look like an accident- which would require an apology. Then if he is interested, he’ll calmly say the first thing, which will include an indication of forgiving you. He’ll even ask you out. Of if you’re inspired, you could bump into him, then apologize and ask him that question. Speak from the heart and encourage yourself to go for it. But that acting clumsy some times works.

It doesn’t really matter what you say as long as you are confident when you say. Start with an icebreaker i.e. point out the obvious, or poke a little fun. This will show you if he is open to conversation. This will lead to small talk then take it from there.
