Dating Advice… Possible Ways To Meet Someone Without Doing The Traditional Search?
I am not a social person but I would like to meet a woman that might have some of the same interests as I do. My question is if anyone knows of any possible ways to meet someone without going out to bars and clubs to meet somebody? Dating pay sites are not really an option because of two reasons: 1) I’ve tried and not many people in my area are signed up on the sites, and 2) It is difficult to project my true self on the sites.
Any type of advice is appreciated. Even if the comments are immature and rude, go ahead and post… =))

Well I suggest you try speed dating. These are often held in restaurants and local clubs.
Speed dating lets you ask the questions you want answered. You can see if the women has anything your interested in. Once you have a couple women your interested. You go on the second date. But the second date should be longer and consist of more one on one time.
And so on.

Honestly, I would think that if you are going through regular everyday life, you would potentially meet people. Plus, I would suggest not looking for people - just be happy with you and people will gravitate towards that if that makes sense. You look to hard, you’re not going to find…

I feel like a dork saying it but I met my babe on myspace by accident. talked for a month or so just randomly. then said Hey lets hang out today… And now weve been together for 5 monthes and are extremely happy and in love.

My advise is to keep trying the internet dating sites. I mean, do you really think you’re going to meet ‘the one’ in a bar? I know I wouldn’t. I met my husband online over 9 years ago. I really think it’s the ideal way to meet someone, well, as long as all parties are honest with their profile information and have non-glamor shot pics posted.
I mean, think about it, if you meet someone and they turn out to be not-so-great, all you have to do is reply to them in an e-mail…no uncomfortable moments when you run into them at the grocery store the next week. The trick is to broaden your search criteria to people all over the country. That’s how I met my man - he was over 600 miles away. And be patient…good girls are hard to find.

If that doesn’t work, I’d say you should join clubs in areas of your own interest. For instance, if you love animals, volunteer at an animal shelter. If you like biking, join a biking club. You may just find you leading lady.
