Gay/transgender Dating Advice.?
I am very closeted, but have an account on plentyoffish.com. I am registered as gay (male seeking male), but I am probably transgendered. There is no registration for this (would you want there to be?).
1.) Generally, I am 24 and a guy I think is nice is 34. Is ten years too much of an age difference? He actually seems very cute and nice enough from what I know so far. Should I give this serious thought? Anything I should know?
2.) At what point do I tell a man I am probably transgendered? I like dressing and living as a woman on the rare occasion I can, and i have “girl’s nights in” with my friends sometimes where I get to be myself. I want to be as honest as possible with a man about that, but I’m afraid no one would like me…. I truly don’t know what to do about this.
Ideas and advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

My standard advice is: If you’re going to transition don’t get involved with anyone. Relationships ALWAYS greatly complicate transition. Save yourself and any prospective partner a lot of heartache and wait until after transition.

You need to tell him as soon as possible. Most Gay men do not appreciate Trans Women. They want a full out gay man. You need to do a web search for transsexual dating sites. Don’t worry there are plenty of men who will like you for who you are. I have plenty of friends with boyfriends.

I too am registered on plentyoffish but un able to do anything on there cause i costs money. 10 years is typically most everyonse age limit it is for me anyway. yes you should be open about yourself. you should not worry about what others think and live how you want to live.
