Yes, definitely.
If you’re having any doubts, don’t mess around.
Kids can be especially sensitive to their mother dating, whether their father is in the picture or not can influence it as well.
If you become part of their life, the kids may become attached to you, and they may feel personally rejected if you happen to break things off with the mother, and that might lead to emotional or social problems for them in the future.
