   The only dating advice my Mom ever gave me was never to date a married man. If he’d cheat on his wife, he’d do the same to me someday. Good advice. When I have a daughter, I’ll tell her the same thing.
   I guess whether your parents’ advice still works depends on what advice they gave you.

   it would not be a society, it would be barbaric. there are ppl with bad instincts, so rules are for everyone. dont like it, move back to the jungle, and start a tribe.

   That answer depends on who your parents are and when they born. Some parents do give information that is wrong because they feel that these days are still similiar to when they were younger.

   I don’t get dating advice from my parents. I haven’t started dating. Get it from a trusted friend. Most of our parents are smart, so they’ll give us good advice I bet.

   well if you look anything like your avatar then youve definatley recieved some bad advice. but seriously if your dad said give a girl a flower then the advice is still good. if he said grab her by the feet and swing her around with the goal of tossing her farther then your friend can toss his girl then youve recieved dating advice thats been handed down since the cave man and is not good advice.     I think the advice works today. The reason it gets passed down is because it works. If it wasn’t working, it wouldn’t get passed down. So your parents recommend not running with scissors. It is just good advice, no matter the generation. Since dating is still the same exercise as it was 100 years ago, the rules still apply. Just because we may meet people in new ways doesn’t change the way dating works.

    God no it doesn’t. Our parents had it sooooo much easier. I’m 28, which i dont think is too old and I’m going to have to say that there are just no such thing as morals anymore. Everything is about sex and being skinny. It’s all retarded now and filled with pressure which is why I think there is a 50% divorce rate. There is no way any advice that is “old school” advice will work today because people don’t respect or care for eachother. It’s just the way the world is now.

    Some of the good moral advise does still work today however, with times and people changing then we have to change the way we react to certain things also. Good luck
