How to get a girlfriend

If your ex seems a little more interested in you lately, maybe wanting to spend more time with you, being kind of flirty, it’s okay to hope, but don’t act on that hope too quickly. You want to know,”How do I know if my ex wants me back?”

This happens. It is not uncommon, but it is easy to make a costly mistake at this point. If you go running back to your ex, your ex might start running, too - the wrong way. Your ex may be getting interested in your again because you have been playing it cool and distant and if you come back too quickly…see what I am getting at? It is a good time to seem sort of hard to get (not impossible and not nasty).

When people break up that have been in relationships, there is often a little bit of missing one another in both people. This is especially true when the relationship had lasted a year or more. A lot of memories were made and habits formed including one another, so there is a big hole in both lives after the breakup. There are other emotions at work here and while you are wondering “Does my ex want me back,” your ex may have been wondering the same thing.

What if this is not the case? Your ex may feel that you did him or her wrong somehow and is planning to hurt you in revenge. Your ex may have felt as though he or she controlled your emotions and broke up with you out of boredom, now wants to see if that control still holds. Flying into his or her arms in this case is a huge mistake. If your ex just thinks you are a friendly influence at this point and not loving relationship material, if you are not willing to be that sort of person in his or her life, you need to remain unavailable for that in large doses. Do you see why?

As I said before, this happens a lot, and although there are many cases where all is as it appears to be and the ex wants to mend the relationship, it could also be something else entirely and you don’t want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time with this. Look at it this way - if you have misinterpreted what you think you saw or heard because you are so eager to get the relationship back on track, then you jump up and do something similar to throwing your arms around your ex, and he or she does not want that - did not want that, how would that make you feel? Play it cool and be real. If you are restrained in your reactions and your ex was playing with you like a toy, you have spared yourself a lot of pain. If your ex wants you back, make your ex say it or otherwise spell it out more clearly. Protect yourself and your heart.
