I Need Some Serious & Nice Dating Advice. ?
So…This is going to be pretty gay, but I need relationship/psychological advice. Please be nice.
I’m pretty…I work two jobs…I have a good sense of humor…and I go to school and take 19 hrs. I’m 23 and in college. I’ve been here 4 1/2 years and have only had 1 serious relationship since college of 7 months. he pretty much broke my heart by saying he wanted to get married then left me…
I’m tired of guys who treat me like crap in college…I don’t think I’ve even kissed a guy in months and choose to stay at home on the weekends and do my hw. because i knooooow all I ever attract is butthole guys. What is wrong with me and how the heck do I get a man that doesn’t still drink like a frat boy and who actually wants to share my joys and laugh with me and be with me and not just drink and party…I want a man who understands me and what I need. It only leads me to believe there is something wrong with me? Anyways, please help. What do I do…I sit at home on the weekends and wonder when it’s gonna get better? I sweaar every guy I’ve dated since college is an asshole, yet my ex was in his 30s. What is it with me? any advice? thanks!!!!

Sounds like you matured past the partying stage but the men around you haven’t. Be patient, but keep looking for the guy that’s a little more settled down- usually older, but not always. Dont give up- there’s someone for everybody and the reward for your patience is awesome!

It’s the same that I tell guys…you want to meet the kind of women (guys in your case) that you want in your life, you have to go to places where those type of women (guys in your case) hang out. Obviously in your case, college campus, college parties, and frat houses are not producing the desired results for you.

You want a guy who is real, who believes the same things you do about life. The best place for you to find that kind of person is doing something you love to do, that you’re not being paid for.
For example, a church is where most people find their mates. A volunteer cause is another good place to find someone who is like you. You can try web sites, but it always seems like it’s shaky ground for finding people. Maybe that’s because I haven’t found anyone online. And believe me, I’ve tried. Ooo weee have I tried.
