Need Dating Advice ….. 51 Y.o. Doesn’t Know “the Rules”?
Okay, I’ve been out of the “dating game” for 25 years. Now, due to a divorce and taking a few years to recover, I feel ready to date again. So, on Saturday night, I went out with a guy that had been bugging me to go out with him. We went to a local sports bar to watch the PSU game. About a half hour into the date, his brother shows up and sits with us. (Okay, a little odd.) Then a few more people joined us. I know I was with guy#1, but I felt a real connection with his brother. Then, when it came time to pay the bill, the brother picked it up! Who allows his brother to pay for a first date? Needless to say, should guy#1 call again, I’m not interested.
BUT, I am interested in his brother. So, would it be wrong for me to send him an e-mail thanking him for the evening?
Just don’t know what “the rules” are anymore!

If u like his brother and have a conection thing. Then email the guy number 1 and tell him how u fill and then try to go out on a date with his brother just u and him that way no more family and friends can join the date. Guy number one messed up on the first date by haveing people and famiy join the date that u 2 were on.

if you like the brother and he’s single e-mail him thank him, and then you ask him out

The main rule is to move towards your happiness. If you’d prefer to e-mail and thank him, why not?
And if there’re no any obstacles (like the brother is married or like there’s already something between you and guy #1) give him some soft hint you liked his caring so much you’d like to have another dinner.

the rules are kinda the same…..maybe guy #1 was not wanting to frighten you off by making it an “exclusive” thing with you and him., or maybe that’s just kind of the way things turned out, and he wasn’t man enough to tell everybody to get lost……but if your not interested in guy #1 does it really matter? go for his brother, life is too short!!!!
