Sunday, 15 January, 2012

It’s worth repeating that before you initiate any divorce process, ensure that you and your soon-to-be-ex have separate bank accounts. A vengeful spouse may use the joint account that you both have to wreck havoc on your credit rating. You are advised to clear up all financial matters before filing for a divorce.

The fact about going through a divorce is that you will not be useful to yourself or to anyone else for the next couple of months. Truth be told, divorce is a brutal business that can take the wind out of your sails. You need to take care of yourself first after going through a divorce to be able to function properly in the society. In the face of several unethical and unlawful practices in the court, it is vital that you get a good divorce lawyer that will give you good divorce advice. A good divorce lawyer will help you chart the course of the divorce ship appropriately. A good divorce lawyer basically ensures that all is fair and square.

You need to be able to learn how to take care of yourself after a divorce case. You are not entirely lonely after a divorce case. You still have the most important person in your life. And that person is YOU. Also, learn to reach out and ask for divorce advice and help after a divorce especially when you need it.

Don’t close yourself up emotionally from other people because of a divorce. Shutting yourself off from the world because your spouse divorced you isn’t the best way to handle the situation. Stay open to miracles after your divorce because the truth of the matter is that miracles still happen.

You may feel responsible for the break up of your marriage but you need to realize that it takes two people to build up a home or tear it down. To move ahead after a painful divorce, you need to learn to offload yourself of the guilt that it may be your fault. Remember that to forgive others, you must forgive yourself first.

Help Save a Relationship With These 7 Effective Steps

Friday, 5 March, 2010

Are you aware of the fact that statistically nearly 75% of relationships end up failing? Are you heading down the road to become part of those statistics? If you want to avoid being part of those statistics then, you need to understand that it will take hard work, dedication, and determination from your partner as well as from yourself, no matter who is at fault or what the problems were.

If both you and your partner want to save your relationship then keep reading, I will give you seven things or guide lines, you can use to help save a relationship. However, both of you will need to be committed to following these guide lines and working together to resolve the issues you are experiencing in your relationship.

1. Communicate: Can you remember how open your lines of communication were when you first met? have you noticed how that has deteriorated over time? Since communication is the most important thing in a relationship you need to get back to being honest and open with each other. Let each other know what you want or desire, state your opinions openly, and most important do not hide your feelings.

2. Stay calm: Getting upset and arguing, name calling, or being disrespectful does nothing more than make it harder to work out the problems that arise in a relationship. So, instead of getting hot headed and causing more problems try staying calm and level headed.

3. Give and take: “It takes two to tango” remember that because it takes both of you to argue and fight. Respect each others views and give a little, and you will get much more in return.

4. Make some goals: To give yourselves some direction, set some goals. be sure the goals reflect both your views. Then determine what each of your parts will be in order to reach these goals.

5. Patients: Be patient with your partner as well as with yourself when working through problems. rushing into resolutions will only cause adverse effects, if not now later then you will be back at square one. Working through issues together and patiently will have good long turn effects on the relationship.

6. Forgiveness: That’s right, “forgive and forget” and depending on the situation or issues at hand this can be very difficult to do. If you want the relationship to move forward even if infidelities were involved you will have to forgive. Forgetting in this case may be very difficult if not almost impossible but, must be done if you want to move forward. It is essential you do not live in the past but concentrate on here and now and what you and your partner can do to make the relationship a better one.

7. Counseling: You will know if you need this step or not by getting past step one above, if can not get past step one above then you will need to take this step. A third party can help you keep things from getting heated and keep your discussions on track and moving forward. There are some that will need this to help them get over the hump and get them moving in the right direction. however if both of you do not agree on this step or go with an open mind it will not help so, be in agreement first and be open minded as well.
