How to get a girlfriend

I met this girl at a bar and she was an ex girlfriend of a friend i barely knew in high school. She gave me her number and said we can start out as friend and then see what happens. I asked her if this is a bit weird since I used to know your ex i don’t want to put you in an uncomfortable spot. She said it’s fine I wouldn’t be giving you my number if i felt weird about it. So I have called her up about 2 times maybe in the last 2 weeks and I have asked her we should do something sometime but I never set anything up for sure. The last time I called I asked her waht she was doing over the weekend she said she had no plans..so i asked we should do something she said it was fine but to call her tomorrow so we can set it up. I don’t get this what difference does it make from today to tomorrow. Is this a way of saying leave me alone or could this be because I am not giving her a date and time just kind of saying we should do something? I am not sure I am getting mixed signals..please Help!

OK I met this guy through some mutual friends at a barbeque. We talked a little and somehow we got on the topic of ebay and i told him I sell children’s toys on there. He said he has an old antique knife he would like for me to sell. So I gave him my number. A whole week went by without hearing from him, then he called out of the blue and asked if I would still sell it for him. i said sure, then he said for us to go out that night. I was like what? But I said ok, and we went over to his friends house for a while. Did the same thing the next 2 nights, then just talked on the phone for an hour or each of the next few night. havent heard from him all day today though. I just dont know. he hasn’t tried to kiss me or hold my hand or anything. I have no idea what is going on here. any ideas? Oh yea, we are both 33.

I have a high stress job that requires me to drink coffee but when I drink coffee I lose control of my bodily functions and have to wear an adult diaper. Last velentines day my new girl friend wanted to make love but I couldn’t pull down my trousers for obvious reasons. I think she’s really getting anxious and I’m afraid. How would you approach the subject?
PS: I’ve tried other energy drinks and same results.

I’m 43 years old. I’m fit, healthy, don’t smoke or drink alchohol, I love to go bike riding, I’ve got a happy and cheerful personality. I’m kind and thoughtful. I’ve got a great job. I’m well educated and intelligent and fairly well off $$$$. BUT; I’m not that handsome (not ugly though) and I currently drive a 1999 Toyota Corolla. I place my ads on Lavalife and a few other sites, reply to other women ages 39-45 and no replies?
I’m just affraid that given by bad luck so far, when my date finally sees my old econo-car, that’s it for the relationship.
My past EX-wife (a real gold-digger) suggested that I am the kindest and sweetest gentleman that she knows and that I shouldn’t be driving a students car as my dates will think that I’m nuts for not moving on with my life.
I can very easily afford a luxury SUV but I wanted to buy a Matrix.
I’m going to keep my Corolla for commuting to work and hauling crap, and the Lexus as my “DATE” vehicle.
Do you think I’m doing the right thing?

So i went on one date with this girl(my first date ever actually) and it went pretty well, ive been trying to get her to go out with me again, but apparently shes been having problems or perhaps excuses… i basically got tired of waiting and said…
“aight, i like u, i want to get to know you better, enough that im willing to wait as long as it takes, but if u aint interested, let me know and ill forget u right now”
her reply was this
“i swear im bbsitting the spawn of satan right now…i dont know how to respond, i know this sounds lame but idk if i can u know have a relationship with any guy, ive never had one before and i dont think im capable of it, i dont know why, mabe because of my dad or idk, its just something i tend to avoid”
i was at work so i had to wait a few hours to reply, but i said this
“to be honest ive never been in one either, but i love trying new things and well it gives life some flavor sometimes life is cherry flavored and well sometimes it taste like ****, but wouldnt life be boring without taste? i dunno, i just dont c how giving it a try could hurt, i mean im shy as hell but im willing to step out of the comfort zone if you are…”
its been a few days and i still havent gotten a response, i dont think shes going to respond, is there anything i can say or do though? i hate the thought of moving on, its just so weak and stupid and ive had to do it soo many times before that im sick of it, id rather try to see if she just wants to be friends and tell her maybe after we get to know eachother a bit better we can give it a try if the friendship thing clicks, or do u think that would be a bad idea?the only other thing is that i swear that on that one date we had, she said something about a past boyfriend…for the record though she seems like a very reserved shy person, but i dunno, we only talked in person for about an 1 and half so…

I am 23, starting medical school next week. I will be living in a condo complex, where most of the students live.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice about dating in med school. I know time will be short, so there is no time to play games. But I think a relationship can be a rewarding experience. You have someone for emotional support, and a way to *ahem* relieve stress.
I’ve never had a girlfriend before. I have a physical disability, which caused me to break bones easy when I was a kid. I now have a bad limp. I was extremely unpopular in high school, and commuted to college.
So I would like to try to get into the dating world, at an age when girls are hopefully more mature and less shallow than high school or under grad.
I just wanted advice.
