I have been a single parent for about 6 months now. After graduated from college I move back to my parents place because I needed help on raising my baby. I’m a senior in college (early 20’s). At any rate, my time in college is coming to an end soon without ever having had been on a date. It was the same for high school. In other words, I’ve never been on a date, and obviously never had a girlfriend. A girl I was interested in, I felt we had a lot in common, unfortunately has a boyfriend ( or so she claims). Before I had found this out, I really saw that the relationship had great potential. Frankly, I was distressed by this, although, I probably shouldn’t be.
I might see this problem as somewhat of a symbolic defeat in some ways. At any rate, the older I get the more I see my chances of getting a date ebbing away.
Question 1: Why does it seem like any girl I’m interested in either leads me on, already has a boyfriend, or rejects me entirely?
Question 2: What can I do to get a girlfriend?

So i went on one date with this girl(my first date ever actually) and it went pretty well, ive been trying to get her to go out with me again, but apparently shes been having problems or perhaps excuses… i basically got tired of waiting and said…
“aight, i like u, i want to get to know you better, enough that im willing to wait as long as it takes, but if u aint interested, let me know and ill forget u right now”
her reply was this
“i swear im bbsitting the spawn of satan right now…i dont know how to respond, i know this sounds lame but idk if i can u know have a relationship with any guy, ive never had one before and i dont think im capable of it, i dont know why, mabe because of my dad or idk, its just something i tend to avoid”
i was at work so i had to wait a few hours to reply, but i said this

I am a single guy age 27. I am a devout christian and have tried dating women from church etc. I honestly havent found much luck. I have a major problem with forever being in the “friend zone” ( I have a million female friends but can never get beyond that point) I am the guy everyone comes to for advice on their relationships but never seem to be able to get a lasting one of my own. Its exam time so Im pretty much out of contact with everyone except my really close friends and anyone I happen to run into.
I have been talking/flirting w/ this one girl who Im absolutely positive is interested me but Ive kind of hesitated; Im unsure as to how a summer relationship would work out last etc.

I like a British guy. We met on vacation here and stayed in touch. How do I move the friendship to the next level. I think he is interested but the calls and contact haven’t moved passed 1x every week or two. He works a lot and is older and set in his own ways. He is a shy and reserved British man and not sure what to expect. Calls last 1 or 2 hours (although calls are recent since we started out emailing). Any British dating insight would be helpful.
